You're in the heart of it all
Hill walks, riverside pubs, castles, historic houses and more – The Firs is the perfect base for exploring some of England’s most beautiful countryside.
Welland, Worcestershire
A location that delivers
The Firs sits in the village of Welland, at the foot of the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire. It’s a setting that rewards both those who want to explore and those who just want to sit still and breathe it in.
You can wake up slowly, drink coffee on your verandah and spend the whole day doing very little, or you can head out and fill your stay with hill walks, castles, historic estates, market towns, theatres, farm shops and brilliant pubs.
That’s the beauty of The Firs, it’s peaceful and tucked away, but you’re close to so much.
The Malvern Hills. Your most spectacular neighbour.
The Malvern Hills are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty stretching across the Worcestershire and Herefordshire border, with ridge walks offering views that stretch as far as Wales on a clear day.
Worcestershire Beacon – the highest point in the county at 1,394 feet. A steady climb from the village; the views from the top are extraordinary.
Herefordshire Beacon – home to an Iron Age hill fort, and one of the finest walks in the range.
There are miles of well-marked trails for all abilities, from gentle family walks to serious hikes, as well as mountain biking trails for those who prefer two wheels.
