Frequently Asked Questions
How many guests can each tent sleep?
Each safari tent sleeps up to seven guests across two bedrooms and the double cabin bed – a king-size, a double with a single bunk overhead, and an additional double in the cabin bed.
Can we book both tents?
Absolutely – and if you’re a group of 7-14, we’d recommend it. Booking both tents gives you exclusive use of the whole site, with a shared fire pit and outdoor space between them. Make two separate bookings for the same dates, or get in touch and we’ll help you coordinate your trip.
Is linen provided?
Towels aren’t provided, but we offer a bed linen hire service so you don’t have to pack bed linen. Just let us know when you book.
Are pets welcome?
Please get in touch before booking if you’re hoping to bring a dog – we generally welcome dogs, but do charge £25 per dog.
What's included in the tent?
Everything you need – full kitchen equipment (hob, fridge, microwave, oven, toaster, kettle, pans, crockery and cutlery), corner sofa, dining table, wood-burning stove, tea and coffee.
Outside: verandah with chunky table and benches, fire pit with cooking grill, log burner and BBQ.
Do we need to bring firewood?
We provide a few logs to get you started. Additional firewood is available to purchase on site if required.
When can we check in and out?
Check-in is from 3pm, and check-out is by 10am. If you need a little flexibility, just ask – we’ll always try to accommodate where we can.
What's the nearest shop?
There is a small Londis shop in Welland itself, otherwise Upton upon Severn (10 minutes) and Great Malvern (15 minutes) both have supermarkets and excellent farm shops. We’d recommend stocking up on arrival and making the most of the full kitchen.
Is there Wi-Fi?
The Firs is deliberately set up as a retreat – we’d encourage you to treat it as a digital detox! That said, Wi-Fi is available and details will be provided in your tent.
What's your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy is shown at the time of booking. If you have any concerns, please get in touch and we’ll always do our best to be helpful.
When are you open?
Our season runs March through November. We’re sometimes able to accommodate off-season bookings for groups – get in touch if you’d like to enquire.
